Seippelabel

Seippelabel Vol. 12 showcases footwork artists from China and those connected to the country. It is the successor of our 2018 Seippelabel Vol. 10 compilation containing tracks from artists in the genre. The collection encapsulates the styles of juke, experimental, 160 electronic, and left-field club music that bubble around footwork as a genre. It represents the current scene these producers are a part of, and it represents how footwork is slowly but surely still growing.

赛普厂牌第十二占合辑展示了来自中国的 footwork 艺术家以及与该国相关的艺术家。它是我们 2018 年赛普厂牌第十张合辑的继任者，其中包含来自该流派艺术家的曲目。该合辑囊括了围绕 footwork 作为一种流派而兴起的 juke、实验、160BPM 电子和左外俱乐部音乐的风格。它代表了这些制作人所处的当前场景，也给我们看 footwork 如何缓慢但稳步地发展。

Lei Lei (Visual Artist)

Lei Lei is a Chinese animator, director, and artist known for his distinctive approach to animation. His work often blends traditional Chinese culture with contemporary techniques, creating visually striking and thought-provoking films. In 2010, his short film This Thought is Love won the Best Narrative Short Film Award at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, marking a major milestone in his career. His follow-up, Photo Recycling (2013), earned the Best Animated Short Film Award at the Netherlands International Animation Festival. Since then, Lei Lei has built a reputation on the international film festival circuit, with his works consistently shortlisted for major awards. His films explore complex themes of memory, identity, and cultural history, often through experimental animation styles. In addition to his work as an animator and director, Lei Lei is also a full-time faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he teaches in the Experimental Animation Department. Through both his films and his role as an educator, Lei Lei continues to influence the world of animation, offering fresh perspectives on storytelling and pushing the boundaries of the medium.

雷磊

雷磊是一位中国动画师、导演和艺术家。2010年，他的动画短片《这个念头是爱》获渥太华国际动画节最佳叙事短片奖；2013 年《照片回收》获荷兰国际动画节最佳动画短片奖。此后，他的短片多次入围全球电影节并获奖，他也被选入多个艺术家驻留项目。雷磊现为加州艺术学院实验动画系的全职教员。

3ASiC

3ASiC is a big shot in China’s underground scene, with tunes made with Nick Hook, Jony J, A-duo, C-Low, and more. Once a school nerd in China and the Netherlands, he mastered all the fancy sound design tricks that make his beats pop. His DJ sets have shaken up Boiler Room, Keep Hush, and more, with his original tracks earning nods from big names like Noisia and Ivy Lab. Recently, he started traveling to enjoy the scenery while watching cat videos and memes.

3ASiC 是来自南京，目前旅居的音乐制作人、DJ。他与 Nick Hook、Jony J、阿朵、Anti-General、DBZ、Swimful、C-Low、LJC、Dirty K 等伙伴们一起做了一些音乐。曾经在中国和荷兰进行过一些学习，掌握了一些制作音乐的技巧和经验。

他的 DJ Set 在 Boiler Room、Keep Hush 等活动掀起了波澜，他的原创作品得到了 Noisia 和 Ivy Lab 等大拿的赞赏。最近，他开始旅居，在欣赏风景的同时刷 memes 以及看看猫图。

Hotwill Huang

Hotwill Huang has been active in the underground electronic music scenes under the moniker Negative808 and is good at bombing the dance floor with the energy of drum n' bass, footwork, juke, and other high BPM genres.  The name Negative808 also appears on the releases of Ran Music, S!LK丝, Seippelabel, and DCYY. He is one of a handful of Chinese footwork producers. Hotwill Huang, who returned to himself, threw away the shackles of BPM and explored the boundary between traditional club music and bass music in a more diverse field. As a researcher and promoter of music technology, with the in-depth study of software & hardware, he has formed a personal music sense. He goes beyond genres and still delivers a shocking, low-frequency energy.

Hotwill Huang 一直以 Negative808 的身份活跃于京城的地下电子音乐场景中，擅长以 drum n’ bass、footwork、juke 等高速 BPM 的能量轰炸舞池。Negative808 的名字同样出现了 Ran Music、S!LK丝、赛普厂牌和DCYY (到此一游）的发行中，更是少数在音乐制作领域探索 footwork 音乐的中国制作人。

回归自我的 Hotwill Huang 抛离了 BPM 的束缚，在更加多元的领域里探索着传统俱乐部音乐和 Bass 音乐的界限。

作为音乐科技研究员和推广者，随着对软件/硬件的深入研究，Hotwill 形成了充满个人意识到音乐认知 - 即使游离于不同的音乐流派之间，也能传递震撼的低频能量。

FoxPaw

FoxPaw is a DJ, producer, and freelance artist living in Hangzhou, China. They are the co-founder of the internet music project Tinnitus Foam Transistor. FoxPaw has been producing music for over five years. From techno to deconstructed club, from underground music to internet sounds, his way of producing varies with the change of their taste, and they are happy to break the rules. As a DJ, they have had multiple shows in loopy Hangzhou and have supported international artists such as 33EMYBW, [bod]包家巷, and GG Lobster. 

FoxPaw（林岚）是现居杭州的DJ/制作人/自由艺术家，是互联网音乐组织Tinntus Foam Transistor的创始人之一。FoxPaw接触音乐制作已有5年之久，从techno到解构俱乐部，从地下音乐到互联网音乐，他的风格持续随着喜好变化着，并乐于破除常规的模式制作音乐。作为DJ，他已多次在杭州loopy演出，并曾与33EMYBW、[bod]包家巷、GG龙虾等国际艺人同台演出过。

Toby Davis

Toby Davis is a producer and DJ originally from Shanxi, currently based in Xi’an. He is the founder of the bass music label SOURCE. In recent years, he has been focusing on music production specializing in UK bass, Afro, and Latin music rhythms. He has also been involved with events all over China and has released mixtapes on well-known radio stations such as Sleeping Radio, Fever, and Cloak, to name a few. He has also done earlier releases with Mavericks, Seippelabel, Cyanide System, ÖÖÖ, Gully Riddim, and Edit Pack. His EP Locked in Room and single Jiǔ Shén Zhòu were promoted and supported by the well-known British bass channel BlueDollarBillz. He collaborated with the famous Brazilian rapper AKA AFK on the Baile Funk track Obscure and released the full-length album Emotional Confusion. He always uses the language of bass in his tunes and releases his inner cry while delivering passionate rhythms throughout his sets.

Toby Davis 是来自山西临汾，现居西安的Producer & DJ，低音厂牌 SOURCE 成员。近年来，他潜心研究音乐创作，风格主要围绕着 UK bass、Afro 和 Latin 律动，积极参与发行项目、Workshop 和派对活动,并受邀在如 , 沉睡电台、放刺Fever、Cloak 等知名电台发布 Mixtape 录制。最早从Mavericks到Seippelabel、Cyanide System、ÖÖÖ、Gully Riddim Edit Pack等合集发行中均能发现他的身影。他的EP《Locked in Room》和单曲《酒神咒 Jiǔ Shén Zhòu》，受到英式低音知名频道 BlueDollarBillz 的推广支持，与巴西知名说唱歌手 AKA AFK 合作了 Baile Funk 曲目《Obscure》，并发行了全长专辑《Emotional Confusion》。在无数次举起的 Gunfinger 和俱乐部里晃动的身影中，他一贯使用低音的语言，跟着激昂的节奏释放内心的呐喊。

ZhangHao (ZDH) is a game sound designer, VJ, and live artist based in Shanghai.

张昊（ZDH）是一位居住在上海的游戏声音设计师、VJ 和现场艺术家。

望月真白

望月真白 fka Mashiro, a Guangzhou-Shenzhen wanderer who floats around outside the club scene. Inspired by trance and breakcore, he likes to collect all kinds of drum-heavy, ambient, melodic, yet fragmented soundscapes, surveying and attempting to emulate today's NEO Y2K and Club Trax with the mindset of Japanese doujin music.  He has appeared on shows like Shenzhen WHY, Cloak, Guangzhou Underground, and friends' radio stations. He was a long-time host at SHCR, where he created a program called Imaginary Aquarium, which digs up DJs from the internet and makes them hand over their DJ mixes.  He started to produce music as a hobby to express things that are hard to express through DJ, also running the doujin circle Thoughost. In 2024 he released the EP Everlasting, showcasing his unique ambient trance vibes. He has also released on labels such as Otherman Records, Aggression Audio, OMOIDE LABEL, MAD BREAKS, and other labels, sharing his own emotions.

望月真白 fka Mashiro, 漂浮在俱乐部外的广深游魂。Trance和Breakcore为电子乐启蒙的他喜欢收集各种鼓编密集、氛围旋律为主体，却又支离破碎的声音，用日式同人音乐的思维打量并试图模仿当今的 NEO Y2K, Club Trax. 偶尔出现在深圳WHY, 以及Cloak, 广州地下等一些线上直播、朋友的电台，曾担任 Union Trance Mission的Tonni 3000 的Support DJ等；曾在上海的SHCR长期主持节目——寰像水族馆，挖掘一些活跃于互联网某角落的DJ并让他们乖乖交出DJ Mix. 兴趣使然开始音乐制作，运营着同人社团Thoughost。今年自主发行了EP「Everlasting」，展现自己独特的Ambient trance vibes. 也曾在 Otherman Records, Aggression Audio, OMOIDE LABEL, MAD BREAKS等厂牌发行作品，分享着属于他自己的情绪。

ADEAD

Guangdong-based DJ and musician ADEAD is known as one of the co-founders of PAAK. They are one of the most active local club DJs/producers in the electronic music scene in Guangdong. In addition to clubs like OIL in Shenzhen, Between, Aurora, Rozz-Tox, Yistclub, 42 Pieces, Attic, GAM, and HOOD in Zhuhai, their presence has also been felt in many well-known club nights across China, such as JAR in Xi'an, DADA Beijing, ALL, Abyss and Elevator in Shanghai, River in Changsha, LOCAL in Guiyang, Alnico and Soup in Qingdao, among others. Apart from parties, they are also involved in DJ/electronic music teaching, design, video hosting, and other creative areas. With over seven years of production experience, they have released music on compilation albums such as POSTWORLD, Jyugam, Daftpop, and Gully Riddim, collaborated on remixes with producers like ALGA and Matthiola Records, worked with artists like Jasagala and Ye Funa to create original soundtracks, and is one of the musicians with the highest number of dance music edits produced in the club music scene in recent years. They have been on online programs such as SHCR, Cloak, Vandelay Radio, Rainy City Radio, and Radio80K. They have released mixtapes on radio stations, GNG, Jerome Mixfile, and HKCR.

aDeAD是驻扎于广东的音乐人DJ，PAAK联合主理人，是此时此刻广东电子音乐场景中最活跃的本土俱乐部DJ/制作人。除了深圳OIL，广州Between，Aurora，Rozz-Tox，Yistclub，42 Pieces，Attic，GAM，珠海HOOD等广东俱乐部外，Ta的身影也出现众多知名的俱乐部之夜中，如西安JAR，北京DADA、MCLAB，上海ALL、Abyss，Elevator，长沙River，贵阳LOCAL，青岛Alnico、Soup等地。派对以外，Ta还涉及DJ/电子音乐教学，设计、视频主等方面。

制作经验超过7年的Ta曾于POSTWORLD、Jyugam、Daftpop、Gully Riddim参与合辑发行音乐，参与制作人ALGA及Matthiola Records制作Remix，与夹山改梁、艺术家叶甫纳合作创作原声音乐 ，并且是近年来俱乐部音乐场景内舞曲Edit制作数量最多的音乐人之一。受邀参加SHCR、Cloak、Vandelay Radio、Rainy City Radio、Radio80K等线上节目的录制，在GNG、Jerome Mixfile、HKCR等电台发布Mixtape。

Lindrum

DJ/制作人Lindrum的名字取于LinnDrum这台鼓机。Lindrum认为电子音乐是meme——通过融合风格迥异但能唤起同种想象力的声音，Lindrum能创造你最爱的舞池回忆。Lindrum曾在NTS电台的Night Slugs Show、Aaja Music的Pick ‘N’ Mix Show、1020 Radio的Club 60、inklingroom在Noods Radio上的节目中亮相。Lindrum也是香港联合电台The Footwork Program的发起人，在每个月最后一个周二为大家带来footwork/Juke先锋DJ/制作人/爱好者的 mix。

DJ & producer Lindrum got their name from the legendary drum machine LinnDrum. Lindrum believes electronic music is like memes, and through blending sounds that evoke similar imagination, they create your favorite memories. Lindrum has been a guest on the Night Slugs Show on NTS Radio, the Pick ‘N’ Mix Show on Aaja Music, Club 60 on 1020 Radio, the Inklingroom Show on Noods Radio, and more. Lindrum is also the founder of The Footwork Program, a radio program on Hong Kong Community Radio featuring footwork/juke mixes by DJs and producers who love and pioneer the genre on the last Tuesday of each month.

Nerve

Nerve is a multidisciplinary artist with training in contemporary classical composition and roots in the rave scene. He hacks into the existing music system by mixing art forms, crossing boundaries, and experimenting with traditions. His practice transcends the boundaries between music, sound art, multimedia theatre, and underground culture.

Nerve 是一位曾接受当代古典作曲训练和植根于锐舞场景的跨领域艺术家。他透过混合艺术形式、跨越界别及实验传统去骇入现有音乐系统。其实践跨越音乐、声音艺术、多媒体剧场及地下文化之间。

Vorbi

Vorbi is a DJ & producer from the countryside of a small town Georgia, USA. His musical influences come from his father teaching him djing funk and old-school hip hop records. As time progressed, he discovered his love of video game music and experimental hip-hop. This later transformed into a taste for other styles like Chicago footwork, jungle, house, and southern trap. His music contains many video game sounds from retro Atari stabs, cinematic OSTs, and combat SFX.

Vorbi 是一位来自美国佐治亚州小镇乡村的 DJ/制作人。他对音乐的影响来自于他父亲教他打碟放克和老派嘻哈唱片。随着时间的推移，他发现了自己对电子游戏音乐和实验嘻哈音乐的热爱。这后来转变为对其他风格的品味，如footwork、jungle、house和南方trap。他的音乐包含许多来自复古 Atari 音乐、电影配乐和战斗音效的视频游戏声音。

Darius

Darius is a DJ from Philadelphia, USA, living in Hangzhou. He is a vinyl collector, and his favorite music types include global club music, deep house, techno, jungle, and dubstep. Darius has done mixes for Shy People as well as playing at clubs such as Zhao Dai, DADA Beijing, and Loopy.
